FAQ

What is Wesley?

Wesley exists to create a beloved community on campus that is open, inclusive, and graciously invitational to all who seek to build a loving relationship with Jesus Christ and others.

We are a campus ministry of the United Methodist Church located on the University of Texas at Arlington campus in Arlington, TX. We are a part of the Central Texas Conference and are supported by local churches and individual donations. If you are interested in supporting our ministry, click here.

Do you have a building on campus?

We do! You can find us at 311 UTA Blvd. right across the street from the main entrance to the University Center. Our building is where we gather for meals, worship, small groups, Bible studies, and events. We’re open Monday - Friday for you to study, hang out, and meet friends. We have a bunch of couches, a full kitchen, ping pong table, and games.

What do you believe?

We affirm the faith shared by all Christians, with particular emphasis on God’s grace and on Christian living - putting faith and love into action. For more information please click here.

How do I sign up?

We have no membership fees or requirements. Everything we do is open to every student at UTA. Follow us on Instagram or join our Discord to keep up with events and opportunities to get involved. We’d love to see you!

Is Wesley a church?

Yes… with a different ministry focus. For some students, through worship, dinner, mission trips, and other community gatherings, we become their church. Yet at the same time we are connect to local United Methodist churches to help seeking students engage more traditional models of church. We are CONNECTIONAL, which mean we exist to connect students to Christ, college, churches, and community. Email Marcus if you’re looking!

Can I park in your lot?

If you’re a student - absolutely! We have 15 open spots and they are first come first serve. If you’re unable to find a spot in our lot you can typically find a spot along the west side of our building on West St. After 5:00pm and on weekends the lot just south of our building is open to those with a valid UTA parking permit.
