  • Vice Chair & Fundraising Chair — Thevnin Rumende

    Thevnin Rumende serves as Vice Chair and Fundraising Chair on the Wesley Foundation Board. A graduate of UT Arlington in Mechanical Engineering, he was active in the Wesley as a student leader and continues to support the ministry that shaped his undergraduate years. He works at Oncor Electric Delivery, where he also helps lead the New Engineer Development Program. Thevnin founded UTA’s SME student chapter and now serves as College Chapter Liaison for the DFW professional chapter. A member of First Methodist Mansfield, he is passionate about community, faith, and student leadership.

  • Finance Chair — Dave Munson

    Dave Munson serves as Finance Chair on the Wesley Foundation Board after retiring from a long career in financial services. A member of First UMC Arlington, he has supported campus ministry for many years and joined the board in 2021. Dave is passionate about mentoring the next generation of believers and works to provide financial discipline and transparency, ensuring the board is well-informed in all matters.

  • Conference Liaison — Rev. Stacey Piyakhun

    Rev. Stacey Piyakhun (she/her) serves as conference liaison to the Wesley Board in her role as Director of Multiplication for the Horizon Texas Conference. She previously served as finance chair for another Wesley Foundation and brings a deep commitment to equipping young adults to share their gifts and voices in ministry. Stacey is passionate about helping students live out their faith in ways that transform the world with love and grace.

  • Associate Pastor — Rev. Carly Payne

    Rev. Carly Payne is an associate pastor at Trinity UMC in Arlington and has served on the Wesley board since May 2025. With a background in college ministry, she is passionate about helping students connect to faith communities and discern their next steps in life. At the Wesley, Carly especially enjoys leading a craft group where students can unwind, create, and build relationships.

  • Board Member — Karen Cox

    Karen Cox brings her lifelong United Methodist faith, a heart for service, and experience in philanthropy to the Wesley Foundation Board. Raised at Keller UMC and now a member of First UMC Fort Worth, Karen has long invested in youth and young adult ministries. Her previous charity work with Shriners Hospitals for Children reflects her dedication to helping others, and she is excited to support students at Wesley through her gifts in education, advocacy, and community building.

  • Student Representative — Will Maberry

    Will Maberry is a senior studying Computer Science at UTA and has been part of the Wesley since 2022, serving on both the leadership team and the board. A lifelong United Methodist, he grew up at FUMC McKinney and helped found Melissa UMC. Beyond the Wesley, Will is the education director for UTA’s Association of Computing Machinery and helps organize the university’s annual hackathon. In his free time, he enjoys long walks, reading, and sipping tea.
